SWR Workingman 10 - Practice Amp

Compact, portable, and great sounding for it's size. The SWR makes a good practice amp or can handle rehearsals in a pinch. With so little speaker area, you will not get any chest thump in your sound, but it's bright enough to cut through the mix and be heard. Decent low end for a 10" speaker and it has a tight punch. The Workingman makes the SWR sound with the very bright tweeter but you will have to tolerate some hiss to get it. You can disable the tweeter but that seems to take a lot of life out of your sound.

Bottom line is that you make some tradeoffs to get an amp this small, but for it's size this amp does a great job. If you are looking for something compact but serious do try this one. You should be able to find it for less than $150 on ebay.
